These images are work of a very talented  photographer from my hometown of Avalon, Tim Hixson. His work is all done on plastic cameras. He has really perfected the technique, and captures some serene images.... enjoy!

For me light is the essence of a relaxing home. Bright open spaces, and natural light bring a fresh feeling and relaxing mood. Through Followstudio I found this amazing blog by Shannon Fricke. As she so perfectly puts ' I believe that the way your decorate your home can influence the way you feel about your life'. I adore the homes I have posted found on Shannons blog, so many little inspiring shots to help me create a home that makes me feel relaxed and happy. 

I found out a couple of days ago that I was accepted and am going to have a little store at The Finders Keepers art and design markets on december 5th and 6th, selling my swimwear range sol bellow

HOME SWEET HOME

Some images from my home and things that are special to me.

 - In the top image are black and white photos of all the special people in my life, which I have pegged onto some string. Hanging in the middle is a heart made of twine and shells I received from a loved one from an overseas trip, also sitting on top of my mirror is a little ornament from my grandma, three little monkeys 'see no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil'. It reminds me of her and I really believe that she lived like these monkeys. She was the most kind hearted person I have and possibly will ever know.

- My beautiful backyard and a chair we found at a council clean up.

- The next image is another of my grandmas belongings a necklace my pop bought her from a trip to Holland. 

-The last, a little white birdhouse I received as a gift.

UMRELLA HUNT

Summer in Australia is extremely hot, and long summer days at the beach are many. I have been looking around for the perfect beach umbrella to shade me from the rays. I just want this one in Zimmermann's summer campaign. Love the red and vintage tassels..... where can I find one? I'll keep searching. 

SIMPLICITY IN LIFE

You simply have to read this blog post 'A simple Life' by Girl Meets New York. It is so inspiring and gives a great insight into the happiness we strive for in the society in which we live, and how the people we look to and feel for that seem to have 'nothing' may actually be the richest in happiness of all. Also love the picture she has chosen to go with this post. 

SPRING HAS SPRUNG
