SEASIDE SUMMERS

For me, my summer holiday is just hours away now, and how welcome it is! I hope to spend most of my days by the sea, probably reflecting on the year gone, and looking forward with hope to the new year! Christmas in Australia is perfection. It means a brunch with family, an afternoon swim and lazing in the shade afterwards.... Bright summer sun, and the smell of salt in the air.

BLOWN AWAY

Wow, something really blew me away when I saw these images by Glynis Selina Arban. Possibly the combination of the most gorgeous crisp colours, with amazing dresses, movement, and fresh photography. So I must thank Susanna-Cole for showing me. I am inspired. 

KAREENA

At the finders keepers market on the weekend, I was delighted to find Kareena's stall. She designed the beautiful poster for the finderskeepers market that I posted here. I picked up myself one of the above for my wall!

HOMEMADE

We are up to our 8th chocolate at home on our advent calender. How sweet is this one though! Little fabric cones wrap up a little present or treat for each day until christmas. Bit late now, but there is always next year.

PARROT CAY

My gorgeous friend, who is also an amazing chef, has just jetted off to the Bahamas, the Island of Parrot Cay to be exact..... and I just had to share with you some of the beautiful photos she has taken of this place. She has been busy cooking for the rich and famous, but managed to get a little free time to see and taste the local Conch and drink icy cocktails by the ocean.

RAINY DAYS

Most of the time I would complain about the wet weather, as I am a girl who is happy in the sun, but I am loving this rain today. Have got lots done, without the temptation to head outside.

LIGHT

I love this! It is the perfect wreath  for christmas. I love the leaves, they remind me of gumleaves, and the crystals hanging would reflect the candles light.  I might have to make something similar for my home.

I have always been a dreamer..... I think that those who believe in the beauty of their dreams will live happier lives than those who don't believe. Dreams give us hope. So remember to daydream.

OUR ISLAND HOME

I know there has been a fair bit of hype here about Baz Luhrman's new film Australia.... and I can't help jump on the wagon and join in. They say it is going an epic in all senses of the word. These stills are a taste of the beautiful cinematography that our eyes will experience. Just stunning, don't you agree? These two images alone remind me how lucky we are to live on this beautiful land we call Australia.

I love this photo of my friend Juz. I took it under our mulberry tree this spring. I wanted to dedicate this post to her, as today is her birthday. She has a beautiful heart and her friendship I treasure. 

SUNDANCE FOR SUNSHINE

My friend Kirstin and I are planning to do a sundance.... for tomorrow. I have a stall at a market day in my hometown of Avalon Beach  tomorrow.... and it is forecast to rain, but we are going to do a sundance and make the sun shine!!!!

I am planning a trip to Mexico next year, and I have just been inspired even more to book that ticket and start saving. This entry on The Selby is by far my favourite to date! Nicholas Malleville and Francesca Bonato, have a hotel, resort, day spa and perfumery called Coqui Coqui Spa,  It is located at Xtabay Estate, on the road to Boca Paila, Mexico. Although it was very hard I picked out a few of my favourite images from this Selby.....  This is a place I must visit,  it looks like pure paradise....

REMEMBER TO DAYDREAM

Daydreaming is where a lot of my ideas arise, and inspiration is realised. A lazy afternoon lying in the shade of the back yard, on the beach in summer, or a lazy sunday with a cup of tea on the daybed. This bed by the sea would be my perfect companion for some daydreaming. Image: Chris Everard
